The CTNLPR Fellowship Program offers academic fellows the opportunity to spend one to two years working with CTNLPR, in pursuing their scholarly agendas in the field of Tamil NLP research. The fellowship would be provided to academics who wish to supervise student projects as detailed in our mentorship programme and therefore involve the projects listed in the agenda of CTNLPR. Candidates must have the strongest academic credentials and show substantial promise of becoming outstanding scholars. The number of fellowships would be determined each year depending on availability of funds and the number of fellowship grant requests.
Applicants will need to submit the following documents:
- Cover letter
- Curriculum vitae
- Copies of any publications or a writing sample
- Two academic letters of reference
- One-to-five page proposal for a scholarly research project to be undertaken as a fellow
Benefits to Fellows
- Fellows will receive a stipend paid monthly
- Fellowship would cover other partially or fully the expenses related to resource acquisition for undertaking research and expenses related to publishing and presenting the research work in conferences.
- With the support of international mentors, research visits, attendance to conferences and workshops, the fellows will have the opportunity to improve their competitiveness in the international research world.
